JobOverview
We are seeking a Computer Operator III to join our team. You will execute scheduled system routines while independently diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and software errors. When standard troubleshooting fails, you will adapt procedures to restore equipment operations or elevate critical issues to higher-level staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Routine System Operations
- Executes and manages a variety of scheduled system routines.
- Oversees baseline system operations and resolve common, documented error conditions.
- Advanced Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
- Diagnoses machine stoppages and complex error conditions that fall outside of standard, existing guidelines.
- Performs hands-on interventions, such as resetting switches, adjusting controls, and making mechanical modifications to maintain or restore equipment functionality.
- Adaptive Problem Solving and Escalation
- Responds dynamically to computer output instructions and unexpected system errors.
- Exercises independent judgment to deviate from standard operating procedures when established guidelines do not provide a viable solution.
- Evaluates unresolved incidents and accurately escalates issues to supervisory or higher-level technical personnel when corrective procedures fail.
- A minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
- Any related certifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- A current Secret clearance is highly desired.
