Security Specialist

Full Time Barstow, CA, US

Pro Log, Inc. is building a team for an anticipated Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution opportunity. The contract will support warehouse and distribution operations in a sustained, audit-ready environment, including receiving, storage, inventory, issue processing, packaging, transportation, equipment support, and related mission functions. This position is contingent upon contract award, final funding, Government acceptance of the candidate, and completion of all required security and access actions.

POSITION

SUMMARY

The Security Specialist will administer the site security program and advise leadership on physical security, OPSEC, anti-terrorism/force protection, information protection, personnel access, visitor control, incident response, and protection of Government property and material.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan, implement, evaluate, and improve physical security, OPSEC, Antiterrorism/Force Protection, information-security, and related protection programs.
  • Advise site leadership on measures to protect classified and sensitive information, CUI, personnel, property, facilities, operations, systems, and material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
  • Develop and maintain security SOPs, access-control procedures, visitor-control procedures, controlled-area rosters, key-and-lock controls, incident-reporting procedures, and corrective-action records.
  • Evaluate security systems, policies, devices, procedures, and methods and resolve security-related deficiencies.
  • Coordinate personnel-security, suitability, CAC, access, briefing, debriefing, and documentation requirements with corporate and Government security personnel.
  • Ensure new employees receive required security training and all employees complete required recurring CUI, AT/FP, OPSEC, Counterintelligence, INFOSEC, and CTIP training.
  • Report and support investigation of suspected or actual security violations, criminal incidents, lost credentials or keys, suspicious contacts, and unauthorized disclosures or system intrusions.
  • Support Security Program Reviews, vulnerability assessments, OPSEC/INFOSEC inspections, physical-security councils, audits, working groups, and corrective-action tracking.
  • Maintain security records and provide timely status reports and recommendations to Pro Log and Government leadership.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least three years of experience in physical security, OPSEC, and Antiterrorism/Force Protection within the past five years.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and evaluating security policies, procedures, training, access controls, and incident-response processes.
  • Knowledge of protecting classified or sensitive information, personnel, facilities, operations, property, and material.
  • Ability to analyze security issues, advise leadership, document findings, and manage corrective actions.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, written communication, briefing, training, and stakeholder-coordination skills.
SECURITY, SUITABILITY, AND ACCESS REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be eligible for access to a DoD installation and successfully complete the Government-required Moderate Risk Personnel Security Investigation and suitability process for a public trust or sensitive position.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD CAC, installation identification badge, PKI token, controlled/restricted-area access, and Government-system access, as applicable.
  • If assigned classified duties, must complete required nondisclosure, briefing, debriefing, and clearance documentation before handling classified information.
  • Must be eligible for minimum IT II access, including a favorably adjudicated T3 investigation, when using Government systems beyond data entry.
  • Must safeguard classified information, CUI, proprietary information, Government systems, facilities, property, and mission data and comply with CMMC and all DoD, DLA, and installation security requirements.
