ResponsibilitiesOperate all equipment, stock ingredients from delivery area storage, work area, and walk-in cooler; prepare product; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete associated paperwork; clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Deliver product by car and to the door of customers; deliver flyers and door hangers or other marketing materials.
TrainingOrientation and on-the-job training provided.
Communication SkillsAbility to comprehend and give correct written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions & SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; must make correct monetary change; verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders; motor coordination between wrist and hands/fingers to make precise movements quickly; ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work ConditionsExposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks; in-store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas; sudden changes in temperature; fumes from food odors; exposure to commercial dust; cramped quarters including walk-in cooler; hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
PhysicalDemands
- Most tasks performed from a standing position; walking surfaces include ceramic tile with linoleum.
- Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries weighing up to 60 pounds; stacking on shelves up to 72" high. - Carrying:
Large cans 3 lbs 7 oz, pizza sauce 30 lbs, trays of pizza dough ~12 lbs each. - Pushing:
Trays on dollies approx 24-30" requiring 7.5 lbs to push; may also be pulled. - Climbing:
May navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, perform maintenance. - Stooping/Bending:
Forward bending at waist necessary at pizza assembly station; repeated during day. - Crouching/Squatting:
Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas. - Reaching:
Up, down, forward; above 72" occasionally to turn off oven controls, change prices, or lift and lower objects. - Hand tasks:
Eye-hand coordination essential for frequent use of hands; shaping pizza dough, manipulating pizza peel, rolling cutter; frequent pinching in assembling cardboard boxes.
Valid Driver License with safe driving record meeting company standards; access to insured vehicle for delivery.
