Founded 30 years ago by Paul Hood, our company has grown rapidly and now serves over 15,000 customers nationwide. To support our continued growth, we have completely modernized our business with technology and processes more akin to a SaaS company than a CPA firm.

In response to this growth, we are seeking a Payroll Associate I to support the payroll team by accurately processing payroll transactions, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and assisting with essential data entry and payroll accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in data accuracy, timely task completion, basic accounting principles, confidentiality, and teamwork.

To do this well, you’ll need to be detail‑oriented and highly organized, with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance. You’ll also need to be proactive in learning payroll processes and comfortable collaborating across teams to ensure smooth payroll operations. The ability to maintain confidentiality and work under deadlines will be essential to your success.

  • Learn and adhere to federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws to ensure compliance with payroll best practices and company procedures.
  • Perform basic data entry, including numerical and financial data and journal entries. Perform reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and complete.

Who You Are
  • You’re detail‑oriented and organized, ensuring payroll data is accurate and compliant.
