The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner. This role ensures that vehicles are serviced to manufacturer standards and customer expectations, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and dealership success.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy
Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and recommend appropriate repairs
Conduct inspections and test drives to verify repairs and identify additional issues
Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks
Utilize diagnostic tools and resources to troubleshoot vehicle systems
Communicate effectively with the service advisor regarding vehicle status and recommended repairs
Document work performed and maintain accurate repair records in compliance with dealership and manufacturer guidelines
Ensure all repairs and services comply with safety and quality standards
Stay up-to-date with factory training and certifications as required
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area and follow all safety procedures
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Automotive Technician certification (ASE) preferred1–3 years of hands-on automotive repair experience preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to operate diagnostic tools, scanners, and basic hand tools
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Excellent communication and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team BENEFITS:
