Senior Automotive Technician position at Tate Boys Tire & Auto Service in Bartlesville, OK. The shop has served the community since 1936 and offers a full range of tire and automotive services, including brakes, suspension, engine diagnostics, and more.

• Hourly rate: $25.00 - $40.00

• Diagnose vehicles based on certifications and experience
• Perform work as outlined on repair orders and multi‑point inspections with accuracy and efficiency
• Complete complex and heavy‑duty repairs
• Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to non‑technical team members and customers
• Recommend services to maintain vehicle safety and performance, documenting recommendations clearly
• Use computerized diagnostic equipment properly and effectively
• Follow all safety procedures and report concerns
• Support the shop and team with other duties as assigned
• Work flexible schedules, including Saturdays (but never Sundays)

• Previous automotive technician/mechanic experience required
• ASE certifications highly preferred (or a suitable equivalent)
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of diagnostic equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical school experience preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 18 years old
• A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in your craft

• Exposure to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Temperature variations including extreme heat and/or cold depending on ambient conditions
• Use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required
• Stand for up to eight hours per day
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; full range of motion with arms and hands required
• Lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly; lift and move up to 70 pounds frequently
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and refocus
