Senior Project Manager – Key Responsibilities
Enforce adherence to governance model and operating rhythm;
Drive structured governance forums with clear outputs;
Integrated reporting and status visibility;
Eliminate non-standard processes and shadow governance.
Own program-wide resource demand versus capacity planning;
Forecast across work streams;
Manage resource intake, tracking, approvals;
Escalate staffing gaps.
Manage budget versus actuals and forecast versus backlog alignment;
Identify and upscale financial risks;
Support financial governance tied to milestones;
Provide data-driven insights.
Lead tollgate governance and readiness;
Ensure deliverables meet acceptance criteria;
Cross-functional alignment;
Drive Go/No-Go readiness.
Maintain integrated program plan;
Cross-workstream dependency management; 30/60/90-day lookahead;
Milestone alignment.
Develop and maintain program dashboards;
Track delivery health, resource status, financial performance, RAID metrics;
Provide actionable insights.
Ensure adoption of Agile practices;
Track sprint execution, velocity, predictability;
Align Agile delivery to program milestones.
Develop executive-level presentations;
Translate complex data into clear insights and decision-ready narratives.
- Program & Delivery
Experience:
10+ years in program management or large-scale transformation delivery. - Core Functional Expertise:
Strong expertise in resource management, cost management, stage gate/tollgate management. - Technical & Analytical
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI;
Data manipulation and reporting automation. - Methodology & Tools:
Experience with Agile (Scrum, SAFe) and program tools (JIRA, Confluence, Power BI). - Communication & Leadership
Skills:
Executive communication, stakeholder influence, facilitation. - Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in technology transformation programs, client-facing consulting, enterprise PMO frameworks.
The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $100,080 to $190,080 (or adjusted for part-time). Specific ranges by location:
California (San Francisco Bay Area) $120,120–$228,000;
California (All Other) $110,040–$209,040;
Colorado $100,080–$190,080;
Massachusetts $100,080–$209,040;
New York City $120,120–$228,000;
Washington $110,040–$209,040;
Washington DC $110,040–$209,040.
