Daycare Teacher

Job Description

The Daycare Teacher plays a vital role in nurturing young children's development within a supportive, safe, and engaging classroom environment. Working closely with a medium-sized team of 4-7 teachers and reporting to both the Center Director and Program Coordinator, the Daycare Teacher plans and implements age-appropriate lessons and activities, ensures health and safety standards are upheld, and fosters positive communication with parents to support each child’s growth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classroom activities to ensure a safe and stimulating environment
• Develop and execute lesson plans aligned with child development goals
• Monitor and support children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development
• Maintain health and safety protocols consistently
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding child progress and needs
• Coordinate engaging activities that promote learning and social skills
• Keep accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
• Collaborate with teaching team to share insights and strategies

Required Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification

• Entry-level experience in early childhood education
• Skills in childcare and classroom management
• Ability to plan lessons and communicate effectively
