Environmental Specialist IV
Williams is seeking an Environmental Specialist IV to apply advanced expertise in air, water, and waste management. The role focuses on moderate‑complexity projects and requires a comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and provide guidance on environmental processes and policies.
- Assess environmental risk, recommend mitigation strategies, and participate in or lead the approved course of action, including required regulatory documentation.
- Participate in environmental project planning and implementation, including scheduling, cost estimating, and preparation of environmental impact assessments and related reporting.
- Provide guidance and mentor colleagues in environmental matters.
- Prepare and submit sophisticated applications for environmental permits, renewals, approvals, variances, and other authorizations, coordinating with company partners.
- Perform environmental compliance audits and due diligence investigations as needed.
- Identify environmental training needs and deliver training programs.
- Develop, recommend, and implement improvements for systems and practices in air, water, waste management, and/or remediation activities for assigned areas.
- Prepare and submit all required compliance reports and certifications, maintaining documentation related to environmental compliance programs.
- Build and maintain relationships between Williams and regulatory agencies.
- Interpret applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations and ensure compliance with such regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of environmental experience.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to safety as the highest priority.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
