Personal Trust Officer
As Personal Trust Officer, your role will entail the following:
- You will focus on clients and is a true relationship manager.
- The retired Personal Trust Officer was not focused on business development but did an excellent job of servicing clients. As a result, they excelled at gaining referrals and next-generation retention.
- Work with the commercial bank, retail, and mortgage referrals of new customers to AWM.
- You will be part of a team that includes an Investment Officer and a Trust Wealth Advisor. Personal Trust Officers and Investment Officers focus on customer service with some sales. The Trust Wealth Advisor focuses on sales.
- Typically, the Personal Trust Officers have about 70 relationships
- During the first year, you will learn company policies/procedures and systems and gradually inherit clients.
As Personal Trust Officer, you will have
- A minimum of five years of experience in personal trust administration experience
- Excellent relationship management skills generating referrals from an existing book.
- Bachelors degree required.
- Additional training preferred but not required, i.e., Masters Finance, JD, CTFA, CFP, etc.

This position is open due to a retirement and replaces someone recognized for their customer service. The retired trust officer would tell you they dont like sales, but they were always at the top of the list for trust officers with the most referrals and next-generation retention business due to their customer service.
