Seeking a customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and related hardware/software while delivering exceptional service to end users. Ideal candidates will have desktop support experience, strong communication skills, and a reputation for reliability, responsiveness, and problem-solving.

responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities
- Provide onsite desktop and laptop support for end users in a manufacturing environment
- Install, configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows-based workstations and laptops
- Support HP printers, including setup, troubleshooting, monitoring, and toner management
- Troubleshoot and support workforce time clock systems and related hardware
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, peripheral, and connectivity issues
- Receive, prioritize, and resolve incidents and service requests through the ticketing system
- Perform workstation deployments, upgrades, moves, adds, and changes
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment, peripherals, and consumables
- Escalate complex issues as appropriate and follow through to resolution
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and support activities
- Build positive working relationships with site personnel and provide exceptional customer service
Required Qualifications
2+ years of desktop support, technical support, or IT support experience
Experience supporting Windows desktop and laptop environments
Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, and peripherals
Experience working within a ticketing or IT service management system
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service mindset with a focus on responsiveness and follow-through
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting HP printer environments
Experience supporting workforce time clock systems
Experience in manufacturing, chemical, refinery, industrial, or plant environments
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and services
Experience with hardware deployments, asset management, and inventory control
