IT Business Analyst
IT Operations Specialist
Client seeks a detail oriented team player who is interested in maintaining successful delivery of IT services to US Marketing teams located in Northeast OK. Individual will be first point of contact regarding IT operations items for key systems supporting US Marketing teams on site. These systems are critical to US Marketing operating and support contracts, customer service, customer communications and customer financial interactions.
Individual will frequently engage in multi-stakeholder discussions across business and IT teams to facilitate the negotiation of requirements and detailed functional specifications pertaining to systems supporting marketing. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and interested in ensuring operations items are prioritized and resolved in a timely manner while also ensuring status of work items is concisely and consistently communicated. This role will report to the Supervisor, IT Business Partner, PSE, GA, C&CS with a focus on operations of systems supporting US Marketing business units located in Bartlesville.
This person will coordinate with business users to Client and document requirements, and lead issue resolution efforts. This position will require partnership with remote teams and may require occasional travel to Houston, Texas to assist Houston based teams (less than 10% travel).
Position Functions:
- Provide first class IT customer service for business users
- Professional communications to business leads and users regarding status of work items
- Facilitate requirements elicitation from business teams and documentation for technical teams
- Detail oriented and able to organize and breakdown high level requirements into detailed specifications.
- Understand, document and update business processes as needed
- Translate business needs and impacts between technical team and operations
- Develop and administer quality reviews of processes / tools to support standard offer
- Inform/Escalate to lead operations resolution for responsible systems
Working Relationships:
Include business leads, SME's and end users, IT technical support analysts, IT technical delivery teams
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Science or related discipline with 3 years of experience
-OR - a related Master's degree with 1 year of experience. - 2+ years of experience with demonstrated strong performance in supporting critical systems
- 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of data management systems, customer management systems and data delivery/exchange systems.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with IT infrastructure as part of enterprise solution
- Demonstrated experience in business process documentation and analysis
- Basic knowledge of design techniques and principals involved in production of drawings and models
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oil and gas industry experience desired
- Business analyst leadership on Information Technology projects
- Basic knowledge of call center operations and supporting technologies
- The ability to multi-task and work quickly and independently is key to this job's success.
- Experience in rolling out new support procedures or training others a plus
