• Holds a valid Sign Language Interpreter certification with a minimum EIPA score of 3.5.
• Experience working in educational or school settings, particularly with middle school students.
• Strong understanding of Deaf culture and the ability to provide clear, accurate communication between staff and students.
• Comfortable collaborating within a team environment and adapting interpretation style to meet individual student needs.
• Open to both onsite and VOCO (virtual interpreting) arrangements, with onsite as the preferred mode.

• Deliver direct 1:1 interpretation for a middle school student during class sessions and school activities.
• Accurately interpret classroom instruction, peer interactions, and discussions to foster classroom engagement and success.
• Serve as a communication bridge between teachers, staff, and the student to support academic and social inclusion.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Participate in team meetings and provide feedback for student progress as needed.
