Responsibilities

• Spiritual Development – ‘Following Jesus’ includes prayer and spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth and health, and church relationships. Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life, including time for solitude, retreat, reflection, prayer, and a sincere commitment to understanding God’s Word. Seek and maintain relationships and disciplines in the context of active participation in a church community. Actively participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community.
  
  Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
• Leadership Development – ‘Equipping leaders, committee and staff’ includes key volunteer care, recruiting, team building and training, supervision and vision casting. Meet with volunteer leaders and area leadership on a regular basis, learn to recruit and train new leaders, and model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners and camping to other leaders. Attend and be involved with area leadership as assigned.
• Resource Development – ‘Fueling the ministry’ includes events, major donor care, public relations (branding) and TDS team. Raise financial support as directed, maintain good donor care practices, communicate ministry updates to personal donor partners, and assist with camp fundraisers and occasional committee and adult functions as assigned.
• Direct Ministry – ‘Proclaiming and modeling’ includes contact work, club, Campaigners and camp. Actively engage in all three levels of contact work, participate in leadership with a team to conduct a Young Life club and Campaigners/discipleship ministry with excellence, and conduct a summer and school‑season camping strategy. Potentially serve on summer staff or assigned staff at a Young Life property with input and direction from the area director.
• Ministry Support – ‘Taking care of business’ includes accounting, administration, communication (internal), data management and strategic plan. Adhere to all policies and procedures, maintain professionalism concerning office hours, dress, conduct and time management. Learn to set yearly ministry and personal goals, review them regularly, assist in office administration when necessary, complete expense reports promptly and perform other duties as assigned and congruent with gifts, experience and area needs.
• Regional and Area Training – Participate in regional training events as required by the regional director. Work through job assignments under the supervision of the area director or assigned mentor, receiving individualized training designed to develop personal spiritual maturity and enhance personal character. Focus on competency in ministry skills (i.e. The 5 C’s), familiarize with area strategy and ministry health, and receive introduction to personal fundraising principles.

• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Currently pursuing a college degree.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this part‑time position (10hrs/wk) is $400–$600, depending on relevant education, experience, and location. This range applies only to U.S. locations.

Work hours are approximately 10hours per week. Additional duties may include travel to may support various student activities or internal functions.
