Description

Bartlesville Health & Rehab Community is hiring Cooks to join our dietary team. We are looking for dependable, organized, and caring team members who take pride in preparing meals that are safe, appetizing, and meaningful for residents.

Cooks prepare meals in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting according to menus, recipes, diet orders, portion guides, food safety requirements, and resident preferences. This includes preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, modified textures, therapeutic diets, and special meal items as assigned.

Cooks also help maintain a clean and safe kitchen by following sanitation procedures, checking food temperatures, storing food properly, labeling and dating items, cleaning work areas, assisting with dishes as needed, and reporting supply or equipment concerns.

A successful Cook is reliable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, able to follow instructions, and able to work well with dietary staff, nursing staff, residents, and leadership.

Previous cooking or food service experience is preferred. Long-term care, healthcare, school food service, or restaurant experience is helpful. Applicants must be willing to follow food safety, sanitation, infection control, resident rights, and facility policies.
