What

You'll Possess
  • High School Diploma required. Associate’s Degree or Technology Center Certificate preferred.
  • Three years of work experience and/or vocational training in construction trades.
  • Background in basic carpentry and use of common hand and power tools.
  • Some finish carpentry experience.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, electricity, plumbing, and OSHA safety rules and procedures including proper use and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Forklift Certification (possess or be willing to obtain).
  • Bus Driver Certification (possess or be willing to obtain).
  • Detail-oriented and organized; able to manage multiple tasks related to all things TCT and meet deadlines as a project planner.
  • Excellent customer service; strong follow-up skills and a mindset to exceed expectations.
  • Take initiative, seek out projects, and accept other duties as assigned.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented, and open to feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Open to learning and expanding skills; willing to receive feedback.

Physical Requirements: Frequent climbing, standing, stooping, and lifting 50+ lbs.

What You'll Do

Essential Functions:

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building assets.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and perform general carpentry-related repairs and maintenance.
  • Patch, repair, and paint interior and exterior wall systems.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repair of plumbing systems, including unclogging drains, fixture repair/replacement, and leaks.
  • Assist with general repairs, service, and maintenance of fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain walkways and service areas (leaf blowing, snow removal, etc.).
  • Assist in keeping campus clean and safe by promptly removing debris, trash, or hazards.
  • Treat interior and exterior building surfaces for insect and rodent control as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor; will assist with spontaneous projects not listed above.

Terms of Employment: Twelve months; salary to be established by the Board of Education.

Evaluation: Performance evaluated by the Senior Administrative Director per Board policy.

Status: Non-Exempt

Salary: $26.00 per hour ($54,000 annually)
