The salary range for this position is $17.00 – $20.40 hourly. Placement in the range depends on work experience and internal equity. Union positions are guided by the collective bargaining agreement.

The Rehab Tech/Admin Specialist is a non‑licensed staff member who assists professional staff with patient care and performs clerical and maintenance duties within the rehabilitation services department. The role supports patient flow, equipment maintenance, documentation, scheduling, and billing tasks.
Responsibilities- Follow standard precautions and Northwestern Medicine infection control policies.
- Operate, clean, and log equipment maintenance safely.
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards.
- Perform tasks identified as appropriate treatment for the Rehab Services Tech under direct supervision.
- Communicate promptly to the therapist any patient status changes.
- Interact professionally with patients/families, involving them in care planning and providing explanations.
- Consult other departments to provide an interdisciplinary approach to patient needs.
- Document treatment appropriately.
- Greet and confirm identity of patients and guests, providing necessary information.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patients for visits.
- Perform additional duties such as obtaining consents, managing call lists, updating demographics, collecting payments, processing billing, and managing clinic inventory.
Required
- High School Diploma.
- BLS Certified with the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous healthcare experience.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Bilingual.
