Exciting Opportunity with Pedia Staff:
School Occupational Therapist – OT in the Bartlett, IL area. This is a full time position available immediately.

This opening covers general education and Autism program. Students have mild to moderate cognitive impairments.

* You'll primarily push-in for self-contained Autism programs and some pull-out for general education kiddos.

* 1 Elementary school

* Student hours are 7:50a-2:10p

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
  • IL license to practice
  • Pediatric or school-based experience preferred, fieldwork counts
  • New grads will be considered if you've completed a school fieldwork

Role Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically.

This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details:  

  • Schedule:

     Full-time
  • Dates: Available immediately for the school year
  • Hours:

    Student hours 7:50-2:10, your hours will extend beyond these hours, 35 billable hours per week minimum
  • Setting: School-Based
  • Caseload: general education and self contained Autism programs
  • In-person only

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
  • Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
