The Edge Construction is seeking an experienced Foreman – Lead Carpenter to oversee commercial framing crews on high‑profile jobs throughout the Chicagoland area. This hands‑on leadership role requires expertise in layout, metal stud framing, drywall, and finish carpentry, along with the ability to manage teams of 2–10 workers, maintain production goals, and ensure the highest quality standards. • Lead a crew of 2–10 carpenters on commercial job sites
• Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
• Perform layout and material take‑offs
• Track and maintain project material inventory
• Document progress through detailed reports and photos via iPad apps
• Execute and oversee tasks including:
  • Light gauge metal framing
  • Drywall installation and finishing
  • Doors, hardware, trim, and Division 10 installations
• Ensure work meets specifications and is “plumb, square, and level”
• Communicate effectively with project managers and fellow trades
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site

• 5+ years of commercial carpentry experience
• Strong leadership and crew management skills
• Proficient with layout, blueprint reading, and framing
• OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic computer/iPad skills for daily reporting
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods

Full‑Time, Monday–Friday. Occasional weekend work and overtime available.

Job sites located throughout the Greater Chicago area. Must be able to commute or travel to Bartlett, IL and surrounding regions.
