Essential Job Functions- Manage student recruitment in the assigned geographic territory, including Nashville and parts of Tennessee.
- Coordinate recruitment activities such as interviews, high‑school visits, college fairs, Centre‑hosted events, virtual events, email, text, and phone campaigns to meet enrollment goals.
- Build, cultivate, and maintain relationships with high school counselors, alumni, parents, athletic directors, principals, heads of school, community organizations, and other constituencies.
- Develop an action plan to engage high‑achieving prospective students and grow application and enrollment volume from the regional territory.
- Plan and conduct recruitment travel in Nashville and other assigned areas, including meetings with prospective students and their families for individual and group information sessions.
- Provide counseling to students and families on the admission and financial aid process, articulating the features and benefits of a liberal arts and sciences education.
- Travel to Centre eight to ten times annually for on‑campus admission events, staff meetings, retreats, and staff training.
- Read and evaluate applications for admission and scholarship selection; attend weekly virtual meetings with the counseling staff and report pertinent information; serve as a member of the Scholarship Selection Team.
- Demonstrate an appreciation and sensitivity to an inclusive academic community, fostering a welcoming environment for all backgrounds.
- Participate in alumni and parent events as assigned.
- Participate actively in professional organizations.
- Enthusiastically participate in all staff activities.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working with students from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in higher education.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for admission software, spreadsheets, and calendars.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy and humor.
- Valid driver’s license.
Limited pushing and lifting (not exceeding 20 lbs). Must be able to travel to the assigned geographic territory.
