The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical leadership, consultation, and licensure supervision to master’s-level therapists serving clients in clinic-based and school-based programs. The Clinical Supervisor provides individual and group supervision, supports clinicians with clinical questions and treatment decisions, and ensures treatment plans and services meet professional and program standards. The Clinical Supervisor promotes high-quality, evidence-based clinical care through the use of appropriate assessments, interventions, documentation, and professional practices.
Responsibilities may include facilitating treatment team and staff meetings, collaborating with other Clinical Supervisors, providing supervisory coverage as needed, and participating in ongoing professional training and development. Depending on program needs, service area, and credentialing, the Clinical Supervisor may maintain a small client caseload. Services and supervision may be provided through virtual, telephone, and/or in-person formats. The Clinical Supervisor will provide licensure supervision to master’s-level therapists working in both the clinic and school-based programs.
- Active Tennessee LCSW license in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an LCSW.
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to provide effective supervision and consultation.
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and high-quality clinical care.
- Provides and appropriately documents clinical supervision to master’s and/or bachelor’s level clinicians.
- Reviews, approves, and/or provides feedback regarding treatment plans created by supervises within 3 business days of completion.
- Completes assigned clinical audits on a monthly basis.
- Coordinates with other team members and staff.
- Maintains compliance with assigned Centerstone training plan and maintains continuing education as outlined by license requirements.
- Understands correct clinical procedures and documentation needs for supervises.
- Provides clinical training for staff as applicable.
- Is available for clinical consultation during business hours.
- Returns all phone calls and emails within 24 business hours.
- Completes all required paperwork within 24 business hours.
- Provides clinical coverage of treatment plans and/or supervision as applicable when other supervisors are on PTO.
- Attends administrative meetings or treatment teams on an as needed basis per program.
- Follows all licensure specific guidelines and Centerstone policy when providing licensure supervision.
- Maintains a full capacity of supervises based on the FTE guidelines for the supervisor position.
- Conducts other duties as assigned that are relevant and applicable to clinical supervision.
Education Level Master's degree required Years of Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a community mental health setting. Licensure supervisor preferred Certification/Licensure Independently licensed and in good standing as a LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or LMFT
