This position is located at the Naval Branch Health Clinic Mid-South, Dir of Mental Health, Millington, TN.
This position is as a Mental Health Consultant (MHC). As such, the employee will be physically located within the Primary Care clinic and serve as a consultant to the Primary Care team.
Civilian Clinical Psychologist (Mental Health Consultant)
Salary:
Up to- $138,370 per year
Benefits:
Responsibilities- Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose mental health interventions.
- Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
- Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
- Implement psycho educational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
- Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
Basic Requirement For Clinical Psychologist
Degree:
Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements below:
Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes conducting mental health assessments; providing individual and group treatment; and working as part of a multidisciplinary team
. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-- no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
LicensureThis position requires a current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
