Assistant General Manager – Resort Operations

Serves as a supporting role to the General Manager, responsible for the development and execution of resort operations while maintaining the integrity of Sports Illustrated Resorts service standards.

• Oversee the daily operation of resort departments, including Guest Services, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, vendor relationships, and Activities.
• Manage various financial aspects of the resort, including annual operations budgeting, cost‑reduction identification, operational improvements, and expense analysis.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial reports; describe impacts on revenue, profit, or expenses.
• Work with Corporate and regional accounting partners to ensure compliance, manage and forecast annual budgets for each department, and review and respond to variances.
• Ensure the resort meets all internal audit standards and loss‑prevention requirements through audits and inspections.
• Build and maintain strong working knowledge of HOA relationships, including standards, governing statutes, and board meeting procedures.
• Identify process improvements, best practices, and execute strategic goals; participate in and facilitate committee and team plans.
• Attract, coach, train, and retain talent; engage genuinely to develop others.
• Partner with Human Resources to minimize employee relations issues and legal exposure, focusing on documentation, harassment, and discrimination.

• Proven strong leadership ability with understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action.
• 3–5 years of property, vacation ownership, or hotel management experience required with mixed discipline.
• Working knowledge of Housekeeping, Front Desk, Maintenance, and F&B departments.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of HOA standards, governing statutes, and board meeting procedures.
