Human Resources Generalist

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (HR field will be an asset)
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong federal and state labour law knowledge
• Strong payroll processing knowledge
• Hands-on Kronos (UKG) knowledge
• Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge
• Demonstrating strong compliance with rules and procedures
• Working carefully, paying attention to details

• Maintain employee data in the Kronos HRIS for all employees
• Maintain employee personal files for all employees
• Payroll processing in Kronos (UKG)
• Benefits and open enrollment process management
• Staffing for all hourly positions, including coordinating staffing with temporary staffing agencies
• Managing internal job postings and external postings systems
• Supporting HR functions such as employee training and development, performance management
• Implementing progressive disciplinary processes and terminations; assisting with internal investigations
• Managing workers’ compensation activities
• Coaching management on people management subjects from a legal perspective
• Following health and safety accident reporting, near-miss follow-ups, leading health and safety committee meetings, and reporting
• Benefits management
• Employee relations management including investigations
