This role is focused on leading and supporting operational planning at a global scale within the Rapid Asset Deployment (RAD) organization. RAD is the physical warehouse network that fulfills orders by preparing, deploying, and recovering IT equipment at scale across Amazon’s network.

• Execute weekly operational planning cycles for assigned region, producing site‑level execution plans with volume allocation by process path and labor requirements.
• Translate S&OP outputs into executable short‑term supply plans, monitor execution against the plan, and drive rapid resolution of gaps (e.g., demand spikes, supply disruptions, capacity constraints).
• Translate demand plans, order reservations, and order priority logic into actionable regional execution plans that optimize network utilization.
• Support network‑level load by identifying capacity constraints and volume distribution opportunities within regional sites.
• Drive structured resolution of unfulfillable orders by partnering with site operations, Supply Chain Planning, and Procurement to clear blockers and convert to fulfillable demand.
• Monitor and maintain regional capacity buffers, tracking current utilization against available capacity and escalating constraint signals.
• Contribute to regional capacity outlook analysis across multiple horizons (0‑90 days, 30‑180 days) and provide data‑driven input for investment recommendations.
• Track and report regional performance metrics including forecast‑to‑plan accuracy, unfulfillable conversion rates, and capacity buffer maintenance.
• Partner with the S&OE Manager and other regional planners to ensure consistent planning cadence, methodology, and output quality across all regions.

The Regional Operations Planner converts demand signals into executable regional operations that support the network’s goal of 95% On‑Time Ship performance while eliminating reactive overtime and expedited freight costs.

• 3+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups) and SQL.

• 3+ years of driving end‑to‑end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, INDEX/MATCH, VLOOKUP, VBA, and data links.
• Background in capacity planning, labor modeling, or fulfillment operations.
