I’m representing a rapidly growing construction materials producer seeking an experienced Plant / Mine Manager to take full responsibility for a large limestone quarry and processing operation in Tennessee.
The site currently produces approximately 750,000–1 million tons annually and is entering a significant expansion phase involving a new greenfield quarry, major overburden removal and the construction of an on-site rail yard and distribution operation.
The OpportunityYou will oversee all aspects of the operation, including safety, production, maintenance, quality, logistics, environmental compliance, cost control and people leadership

Alongside managing the existing drill-and-blast limestone operation, you will lead several major capital and development projects from planning through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily quarry and crushing operations producing up to 1 million tons annually
. - Manage safety, production, maintenance, quality, environmental compliance and logistics.
- Develop supervisors, technical personnel and frontline operating teams.
- Improve plant reliability, equipment performance, cost control and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the removal of approximately 500,000–1 million tons of overburden
. - Lead development and commissioning of a new greenfield quarry operation.
- Manage the design and construction of a new on-site rail yard and distribution facility.
- Coordinate engineering firms, contractors, suppliers, regulators and community stakeholders.
- Establish preventative maintenance and equipment replacement programmes.
- Take ownership of site budgets, performance targets and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- 5+ years of leadership experience within aggregates, quarrying or surface mining.
- Strong knowledge of limestone mining, drilling, blasting, crushing and material processing.
- Proven experience managing production, maintenance, safety and cost performance.
- Greenfield quarry development, stripping or overburden-removal experience highly desirable.
- Rail-yard construction or rail-loading experience would be a major advantage.
- Strong, hands-on leadership style with the ability to develop high-performing teams.
- Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology or a related discipline preferred but not essential.
- Take ownership of an established 750,000–1 million TPY limestone operation.
- Deliver a major greenfield quarry development.
- Lead significant stripping, infrastructure and rail-yard projects.
