Aggregate Plant Manager

I’m representing a rapidly growing construction materials producer seeking an experienced Plant / Mine Manager to take full responsibility for a large limestone quarry and processing operation in Tennessee.

The site currently produces approximately 750,000–1 million tons annually and is entering a significant expansion phase involving a new greenfield quarry, major overburden removal and the construction of an on-site rail yard and distribution operation.

You will oversee all aspects of the operation, including safety, production, maintenance, quality, logistics, environmental compliance, cost control and people leadership
.

Alongside managing the existing drill-and-blast limestone operation, you will lead several major capital and development projects from planning through commissioning.

• Lead daily quarry and crushing operations producing up to 1 million tons annually

• Manage safety, production, maintenance, quality, environmental compliance and logistics.
• Develop supervisors, technical personnel and frontline operating teams.
• Improve plant reliability, equipment performance, cost control and operational efficiency.
• Oversee the removal of approximately 500,000–1 million tons of overburden
  .
• Lead development and commissioning of a new greenfield quarry operation.
• Manage the design and construction of a new on-site rail yard and distribution facility.
• Coordinate engineering firms, contractors, suppliers, regulators and community stakeholders.
• Establish preventative maintenance and equipment replacement programmes.
• Take ownership of site budgets, performance targets and continuous-improvement initiatives.

• 5+ years of leadership experience within aggregates, quarrying or surface mining.
• Strong knowledge of limestone mining, drilling, blasting, crushing and material processing.
• Proven experience managing production, maintenance, safety and cost performance.
• Greenfield quarry development, stripping or overburden-removal experience highly desirable.
• Rail-yard construction or rail-loading experience would be a major advantage.
• Strong, hands-on leadership style with the ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology or a related discipline preferred but not essential.
