DescriptionPurpose: Looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor for our Swiss Department.
Supervise and direct manufacturing personnel and resources to ensure efficient and on-time delivery of product while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to program, assist with programming to help in the utilization and development of direct reports and work closely with the programming department to ensure full utilization as a resource
- Works closely with Engineering and Quality to ensure the best methods are being utilized to improve efficiency and quality
- Exhibit exceptional Communication skills
- Assist with Identifying, developing, and implementing training opportunities for department employees to enhance skills, improve performance, and support career growth
- Responsible for direct management of department personnel; includes annual performance reviews, pay increases, authorization of overtime and PTO, verbal, and written disciplinary action
- Support management decision-making by communicating production goals, operational priorities, and policy changes to shop floor teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Plan, assign, and direct daily duties for manufacturing personnel, controlling allocation of resources to maintain production deadlines
- Responsible for department asset scheduling and planning adjustments such as expediting operations which have fallen behind schedule
- Provide proactive communication with Management, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and other support functions to prevent unforeseen events which may contribute to manufacturing delays and/or quality issues
- Be available for and manage daily shift turn-over
- Participate in the recruiting, hiring and training of new employees
- Participates in SOP and safety training
- Ensure that all employees work in accordance with company SOPs and industry standards
- Ensure that there is always a clean and safe work environment which meets medical device and OSHA standards
- Must have full understanding of policies and procedures and compliance
- Execute setup and/or operation of manufacturing equipment
- Ensure equipment preventive maintenance and daily housekeeping standards are completed
- Lead by example; accountable for their actions and the actions of their direct reports
Education and Experience:
- Associate Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supervisory or management role in a manufacturing environment

- Strong leadership, communication, motivation, and organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to express concepts effectively, both written and verbal.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work in a highly dynamic and growing environment
- Detail oriented with a high level of emphasis on accuracy and completeness
- Must be familiar with and be able to read mechanical (machining) drawings and specifications.
- Must have a solid grasp of manufacturing workflow and machining processes
Physical Demands:
- Light to moderate physical exertion required
- Lifting/carrying maximum 50 lbs.
- Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility
