Night Shift - CNC Machinist III

CNC Machinist III

Operates, sets up, and programs jobs on CNC equipment (Mills, Lathes, Swiss, EDM, and mill‑turn) to manufacture medical components from raw materials. CNC Machinist III must have expertise on a specific type of equipment or be well‑versed in multiple types of equipment.

• Create programs for CNC equipment using CAD/CAM software.
• Develop CNC machining processes by selecting tools, speeds, and feeds.
• Set‑up and operate machines.
• Partner with Engineering Team.
• Design fixtures, tools, and jigs as needed.
• Effectively troubleshoot machining issues in a machining environment.
• Inspect product per inspection plans; deburr parts if needed.
• Participate in ongoing process improvements.
• Report non‑conforming parts to Supervisor.
• Monitor machine operation closely, detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance features, and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain machining area cleanliness and perform minor preventive maintenance (e.g., coolant levels).
• Record production through Job Boss system.
• Support EMS Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED plus Machining Certification with 7+ years of CNC experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General knowledge of machining techniques on assigned equipment.
• Familiarity with material types and general properties of materials related to assignments.
• Working knowledge of measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, comparators, and indicators.
• Highly familiar with drawing terms and ability to interpret feature requirements.
• Ability to read and understand the Router.
• Understanding of the Data Collection System.
• Understanding of relevant Safety requirements.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.

• Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift to perform duties.
