The Material Handler role at LACOSTA Facility Support Services is a full‑time, on‑site position located in Loudon, TN. The Material Handler is responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving materials within the facility, using appropriate equipment and following established procedures. Day‑to‑day tasks include receiving incoming shipments, verifying documentation, organizing and storing materials, and preparing items for outbound shipment or internal use.
The role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, labeling and packing materials, and ensuring that work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. The Material Handler collaborates with warehouse, production, and facility teams to support efficient operations and timely material flow.
- Candidates should possess skills in Shipping & Receiving, including processing incoming and outgoing materials and verifying documentation.
- Candidates should possess skills in Unloading and Material Handling, including safe operation of equipment to move, stage, and store materials.
- Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Control, including tracking stock levels, performing cycle counts, and maintaining accurate records.
- Candidates should possess skills in Packing, including preparing, labeling, and securing materials for storage or shipment.
- Relevant qualifications include prior experience in warehouse or industrial environments, familiarity with safety procedures, and basic computer or scanner use.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required, follow written and verbal instructions, and work both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; experience with manufacturing or facility support operations is a plus.
