Join REAL ALLOY in Loudon, TN as an Industrial Furnace Operations Associate and be part of a safety-first, team-driven operation. You’ll support furnace activities that keep production moving—hands-on, fast-paced, and essential.
What you’ll earn Start at $23.08 per hour Increase to $26.68 after 90 days with strong attendance and performance
Sign-on bonus: $300 after 90 days (Rehires not eligible)
Retention bonus: $600 after 9 months (Rehires not eligible)
Your schedule
12-hour rotating shifts: 7 AM–7 PM and 7 PM–7 AM. You will work both days and nights as part of the rotation.
Rotation pattern: 4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 1 off, 3 on, 3 off, 4 on, 7 off—then it repeats. You’ll work 15 days per month with 7 days off in the cycle for strong work-life balance.
A day in the life
Your shift begins with a safety huddle. You gear up with PPE, check equipment, and assist with furnace operations—feeding, monitoring, and supporting melt activities to maintain steady, reliable production. You stay alert to heat, movement, and alarms, communicate clearly with your crew, and help ensure every pour meets standards. At shift end, you complete handoff notes so the next team hits the ground running.
What you’ll do Assist with all furnace operations to keep production safe and efficient
Follow established procedures, respond to changing conditions, and support a clean, orderly work area Monitor conditions around furnaces and communicate with team members
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts (training provided)
Use basic computer tools, including Microsoft Excel, for logs and checks
Where you’ll work
This is an industrial manufacturing environment with extreme heat near furnaces. You’ll wear protective gear, work around heavy equipment, and sometimes in tight or elevated spaces.
What you bring
High School Diploma or equivalent
Manufacturing experience and a safety-first mindset
Highly motivated, ethical, goal-oriented, and ready for a challenge
Comfort working in a fast-paced setting
Flexibility to work overtime and rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation
Excellent communication skills and basic computer proficiency (including Excel)
Physical capabilities
Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbsUse of sight to examine, judge distances, and distinguish colors
Awareness of surroundings, including locating team members and observing moving traffic/equipment
Use of touch and smell to identify equipment issues
Speak clearly and understand verbal instructions; hear safety alarms
Work in confined areas and in extreme heat near furnaces
Climb ladders; balance; work at heights for extended periods
Frequent walking, standing, reaching, crouching, sitting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, and torso turning
