Job Summary:

The Quality Control Tech is responsible for ensuring the vinyl records are in good condition through visual and listening inspections.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Verify all component numbers are correct on the record's etching.

Perform visual inspection of labels:

Ensure labels are correct and on the right side of the record.
Ensure labels are not cracked, wet, or doubled.

Perform visual inspection of records:

Check for warping, cupping, jagged/sharp edges.
Look for dimples, scratches, scuffs, or stains.
Verify vinyl color is correct.

Conduct listening inspections:

Ensure there are no pops, cracks, or skips in the dead space between songs and at the beginning and end of each record.

Notify Manager/Supervisor if any components are incorrect or if records have defects.

Complete necessary inspector forms.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Perform other duties within the department as assigned.

Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
