Quality Assurance Inspector I

As a Quality Assurance Inspector I, you will inspect product to ensure it meets or exceeds the requirements set forth by customer specifications, quality acceptance criteria, and regulatory standards.

• Perform first article, in-process, and final product inspection using drawings, specifications, and related instructions.
• Read manufacturing prints and determine relevant features for verification of accuracy.
• Understand and complete Document Review Checklist (DRC) and Quality Inspection Report (QIR) accurately.
• Capture results data and store electronically in correct file folders.
• Correctly utilize and interpret inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, comparators, and related gauges.
• Check out and return gauges for each inspection.
• Ensure accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of product inspection and documentation of results.
• Identify non-conforming product and notify appropriate personnel or management.
• Record production through Job Boss system.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
• Support the EMS Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.

This team member supports various activities that contribute to the overall EMS objective of compliance with FDA regulations and ISO 13485 requirements, collaborating closely with additional EMS roles.

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• General understanding of proper documentation/quality requirements in a regulated environment.
• Works well under pressure.
• Ability to think critically and have strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of relevant safety requirements.
• Team-oriented and able to work well in a collaborative environment.
• Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

• Good vision, natural or corrected (glasses/contact lenses), is required.
• Awareness of monochromacy/ color blindness levels to assess risk for color-dependent inspections.
• Ability to lift or maneuver tools and material within scope of responsibility, using or requesting proper approved equipment.
