Position Summary:
This role focuses on delivering excellent member service, supervising associates, managing inventory and merchandise presentation, ensuring safety and compliance, and supporting operational excellence within the Sam's Club retail environment.
- Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, providing guidance and support, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
- Assist management with supervising associates: assign duties, communicate goals and feedback, train on processes, and support the Open Door Policy.
- Receive and stock supplies and merchandise, organize the sales floor, complete paperwork logs, and maintain sales‑floor presentation in line with company policies.
- Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift and hazardous‑materials procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Handle merchandise claims and returns, zone and stock merchandise, set up displays, remove damaged goods, sign and price products, and identify shrink or damages.
- Monitor food and merchandise quality: enforce rotation, code‑dating, product recalls, and sanitation standards across all departments.
- Oversee picking and staging of club pickup orders, ensuring items are selected and staged correctly.
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners, and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Promote compliance with company policies, ethics, and safety standards, and assist management in correcting ethical and compliance issues.
- Lead and participate in teams, coordinate and execute work assignments, provide advice, feedback, and support to meet timelines and quality goals.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- At least 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.
- Experience leading a team and supervising staff, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workload.
- Hourly wage range: $21.00 to $29.00.
- Additional premiums: $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
