Job Description
What is a Salesperson? Entry‑level sales position supporting the DIY business and driving sales and service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive and part knowledge, sourcing from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers, and in‑depth inventory and maintenance process understanding. The position may be part‑time or full‑time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
  • Achieve personal sales goals and help the store reach its sales targets.
  • Deliver DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installations.
  • Maintain store product and operational standards.
  • Manage inventory processes, including truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back‑stock.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
  • Support general stocking, including truck stocking and back‑stock.
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
Success Factors
  • Basic driving and navigation ability.
  • Proficiency with a delivery board system.
  • Friendly communication skills.
  • Ability to locate and stock parts.

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
  • Use basic math accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in all units of measure.
  • Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Prior Experience that Sets a Salesperson Up for Success
  • 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
What is a Store Driver?

Entry‑level store position responsible for delivering parts to commercial customers and supporting store inventory tasks. The position may be part‑time or full‑time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
  • Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
  • Pick up returns and cores.
  • Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers.
  • Collect daily credit accounts.

  • Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
  • Support general stocking, including truck stocking and back‑stock.

Physical Demands

The role requires walking or standing for the majority of the shift, frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds, good vision, and the ability to reach, climb, balance, and stoop. The work may involve exposure to weather, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, chemicals, electrical shock, vibrations, and moderate noise.

Work Environment

Employees will primarily work indoors but may also work outdoors in various weather conditions during tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades. The environment may involve moving mechanical parts, high places, chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, and vibration.
