Job Responsibilities- Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes including One Stream loading
- Prepare month‑end journal entries
- Prepare and review necessary financial reports, statements, and templates
- Oversee general ledger maintenance and review trial balance
- Prepare schedules and monthly binders ensuring Magna Minimum controls are met
- Actively involved in inventory processes‑costing, cycle counts, standard vs actual cost reviews/roll‑ups/reports and ensuring correctness of BOMs by shop‑floor verification
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Responsible for the tracking and reporting of capital & tooling projects per Magna guidelines
- Actively support the implementation and tracking of all cost reduction programs
- Assist in the preparation of the annual Controller's Model file
- Apply accounting expertise to ensure financial records & statements are in accordance with GAAP and Magna Finance Policy
- Maintain compliance with Mafact guidelines related to Finance
- All other duties as required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience – manufacturing experience a plus
- ERP systems (CMS)
- GAAP compliance
- Financial and variance analysis
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Reconciliation
- Auditing
- Must have New Hire Orientation, Safety, and Understanding of the Charter prior to or within the first two weeks of assuming the role.
