Position: (USA) Tire & Battery Technician - Automotive

Position Summary

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department and deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations.

What you’ll do
  • Be a Team Member – Collaborates with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educates associates on tools, tasks, resources and mentors new technicians, communicating and developing interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
  • Be an Expert – Demonstrates knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications and seasonality, and demonstrates knowledge of Point of Sale systems, phone and in‑person selling techniques.
  • Be a Techie – Leverages digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience and elevate associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology and systems to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application and training, adapting to new tools and encouraging others to use them.
  • Be an Owner – Communicates equipment, tools and supplies needs to TBC Lead, tracks and monitors returns and special orders, operates cash registers, processes transactions, maintains accurate inventory and audit safety and compliance standards, reports TBC complaints, safety hazards and problems, completes paperwork logs and other required documentation, ensures merchandise is packaged, labeled and stored in accordance with company policies, and assists members with purchasing decisions and resolves issues.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador – Acts as a brand advocate, values the member experience, models high‑quality service and products, influences and inspires others, works in a supportive, respectful and team‑oriented style, understands roadblocks and assists in training team members.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, standards of ethics and integrity, and implements related action plans using the Open Door Policy.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities using data, resources, collaboration and communication; identifies priorities, deadlines, and ways to address improvement opportunities.
  • Respect the Individual – embraces differences, creates a workplace where associates feel seen and connected, and builds strong, trusting relationships.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid State‑issued Driver’s License.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • I acknowledge that the position requires successful completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Auto service industry experience.
  • Retail experience.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
