The Nashville Distillery is an independent, award-winning craft spirits company producing premium bourbon, Tennessee whiskey, vodka, rum, and moonshine. Built on quality, authenticity, and hard work, we’re expanding rapidly and are looking for an experienced sales professional to grow our presence across Tennessee.
Position SummaryThe Tennessee Market Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distributor relationships, expanding on- and off-premise accounts, executing brand programming, and representing The Nashville Distillery throughout the state. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys being in the market, building relationships, and delivering results.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales strategies throughout Tennessee.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key retail accounts.
- Increase distribution and shelf placement across independent retailers, chains, restaurants, bars, and hospitality accounts.
- Conduct ride-withs and sales calls with distributor representatives.
- Plan and execute tastings, promotions, festivals, and special events.
- Train retail and restaurant staff on our brands and products.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities for growth.
- Track sales performance and provide regular market updates.
- Represent The Nashville Distillery with professionalism and enthusiasm at industry events and customer meetings.
- Travel throughout Tennessee as needed.
- Minimum 3–5 years of alcoholic beverage sales experience in Tennessee (preferred, but TN isn't required).
- Strong understanding of the three-tier distribution system.
- Existing relationships with Tennessee distributors and key accounts preferred.
- Proven track record of increasing sales and market share.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work evenings and weekends for events when necessary.
- Spirits industry experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the Tennessee market and major retail chains.
- Experience working with distributor management teams and account execution.
- CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency.
