OverviewCBRE is hiring a Mobile Commercial HVAC/R Hybrid Technician to support multiple business offices, financial institutions, retail stores, and other locations in the South Memphis area. The ideal candidate is a self-disciplined technician who takes pride in their work. This role involves fixing equipment issues, performing preventive and emergency maintenance, and documenting work notes in a CMMS. A minimum of 4 years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience is desired.
Physical capability for a fast-paced environment, strong problem-solving skills, and an independent work style are important for success.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration equipment, as well as general building maintenance as needed.
What You’ll Do- Work within broad guidelines and policies to conduct inspections and ongoing maintenance on building HVAC and refrigeration equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards. General building maintenance will also be assigned as needed.
- Address equipment failures to determine the best course of action for equipment modifications. Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems and related equipment, including electrical distribution and plumbing systems.
- Perform assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance, and complete or update maintenance and repair records.
- Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
- Apply knowledge of standard principles, techniques, and procedures to accomplish tasks and address non-routine problems.
- Mentor others by sharing HVAC expertise and broad functional knowledge, leading by example in alignment with CBRE RISE values.
- Communicate technical information clearly to colleagues and clients.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 4-5 years of related experience.
- Valid driver’s license
- EPA/CFC Universal Certification
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads (50 lbs or more)
- Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with Teams and CMMS - Advanced math skills, including basic percentage and fraction calculations
