Haydon Healy partnered with an electrical contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Union Electrical Superintendent to support major data center construction projects across Tennessee and the surrounding region.
This is a senior field leadership position for someone who knows how to run large electrical teams, manage union labor and deliver complex mission‑critical projects safely, efficiently and to programme.
The RoleYou will take ownership of electrical field operations on large scale data center projects, working closely with project leadership, general contractors, subcontractors and union representatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading union electrical manpower across the project
- Coordinating day‑to‑day electrical construction activities
- Managing foremen, general foremen and field crews
- Planning manpower, materials, equipment and installation sequences
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules and work packages
- Overseeing electrical distribution, switch gear, generators, UPS systems, grounding, controls and associated infrastructure
- Coordinating electrical installation with mechanical, CSA and commissioning teams
- Monitoring productivity, quality, safety and schedule performance
- Identifying field issues early and driving practical solutions
- Supporting testing, energisation, commissioning and project closeout
- Maintaining strong relationships with the client, general contractor and union workforce
- Strong experience as an Electrical Superintendent, General Superintendent or Senior General Foreman
- Previous experience working for a union electrical contractor
- Proven experience leading large electrical work forces
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical construction
- Data center, mission‑critical, semiconductor, healthcare or similarly complex project experience
- Experience delivering medium‑voltage and critical power infrastructure
- Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications and construction schedules
- A safety‑first leadership style with excellent field communication skills
- Willingness to travel across Tennessee and surrounding states as projects require
Direct data center experience is strongly preferred. However, experienced electrical leaders from other complex, fast‑paced construction environments will also be considered.
