Picker

A picker/packer selects, inspects, and packages items from warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.

• Order Picking:
  Read order sheets or use RF scanners to locate and gather correct products from warehouse shelves.
• Quality Control:
  Inspect items for defects, damage, or missing parts before packing.
• Packaging:
  Select appropriate boxes, wrap items securely, and add protective materials to prevent damage.
• Labeling & Shipping:
  Apply accurate shipping labels, weigh packages, and move completed orders to the loading dock.
• Inventory Management:
  Update tracking systems, report low stock or damaged goods, and restock shelves.
• Safety & Maintenance:
  Follow all workplace safety rules and keep the packing area clean.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED.
• Physical Stamina:
  Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 30–50 lbs.
• Attention to Detail:
  High accuracy in matching product SKUs, quantities, and customer orders.

  Skills:
  
  Familiarity with handheld barcode scanners and basic warehouse software.
