Position Overview
This position will provide personal financial services at assigned military installations. The role includes the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families, delivering education and counseling on financial matters and facilitating briefings, presentations, and referrals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one‑on‑one counseling and consult with commanders or other staff.
- Conduct briefings and presentations to service members and families.
- Provide referral resources to participants outside counseling sessions.
- Work closely with installation and branch Points of Contact (POC) to ensure program scope and installation needs are met.
- Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
- Develop and disseminate educational financial materials.
- Coordinate, publicize, and deliver a variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering topics across the military lifecycle.
- Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
- Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic communication modes (web‑based, secure online chat, video‑based communications).
- Manage duty to warn situations according to Department of Defense (DoD) protocol.
- Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision, sharing trends and issues.
- Participate in in‑services, training, quality‑improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required; associate degree plus 4 years of experience or high school diploma plus 6 years of experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish may be required by contract.
- Must obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
- Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
- Must hold one of the following certifications:
Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Salary Range: $58,440 – $93,500 (based on national data). This position may be eligible for short‑term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, and voluntary benefits.
