We seek a Rod Mill Supervisor to lead a unionized production crew in achieving top‑tier safety, quality, and productivity results. What You'll Do- Supervise approximately 13 hourly union employees on the Rod Mill floor
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and foster a zero‑incident culture
- Drive production results aligned with quality standards and daily output goals
- Complete shift reports and communicate effectively with crew and supervisors
- Coordinate with Lower Reform Foreman and General Foreman as needed
- Support professional growth and accountability across your team
- Tackle special assignments and lead operational improvements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years of rolling experience in rod or bar mill production
- Experience supervising in a unionized manufacturing environment
- Ability to interpret safety protocols, maintenance instructions, and operational procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for crew direction and reporting
- Basic math proficiency – add, subtract, multiply, divide
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PC‑based systems
- Assertive and goal‑oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to remain positive and composed under pressure
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and manage priorities
- Frequent standing, talking, and listening
- Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, or crawling
Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds - Work environment includes noise, mechanical parts, heat, cold, and outdoor exposure
- Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus
