Supervisor, Industrial Wire Mill

We are a growing steel manufacturer producing billets, rebar, rod, industrial wire, and agricultural fence products based in Bartonville, Illinois.

This role involves managing and directing the hourly workforce within the Industrial Wire Mill department.

• Manage daily shift operations of the Industrial Wire Mill department
• Supervise 20-30 hourly Union employees in the assigned area
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, programs and meetings
• Ensure compliance with all quality and production standards
• Interface effectively with other members of supervision and personnel from other departments and USW personnel
• Engage assigned workforce to achieve safety, productivity, and quality goals
• Maintain housekeeping, yield, and process control
• Perform duties as assigned to meet Liberty goals and objectives
• Assume responsibility for 2nd or 3rd shift

• 1-5 years of industrial supervisory experience preferred (consideration of roles outside manufacturing may be a substitute)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Assertive and goal‑oriented
• Self‑starter with a positive attitude
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities
• Proficient with personal computers and Microsoft software
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operations and material handling is a plus
• Ability to comprehend complex machinery and problem‑solve
• Ability to multi‑task and execute decisions
