Overview
The Electrician is responsible for electrical assembly, wiring, and testing of generator set packages and related systems in a production environment. This role works hands‑on with drawings and equipment to ensure electrical systems are built safely, correctly, and ready for service. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced shop setting.
Basic Duties- Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to assemble generator set electrical systems
- Install electrical wiring, control panels, and electrically operated devices
- Form, bend, and install conduit using hand tools and shop equipment
- Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and verification of completed circuits
- Complete required documentation and test records accurately
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment
- Support production schedules and assist with additional shop duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
- Experience installing wiring and forming conduit using hand and shop tools
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices
- Selfstarter with good time management, organization, and attention to detail
- Able to work effectively in a fast‑paced production environment and work overtime when required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency preferred (Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required (motor vehicle report required for final candidate)

$23.25 - $44.08 per hour
Physical Requirements / Working ConditionsThis position works in a shop environment with some outside exposure. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 75lbs. The wearing of approved safety equipment (i.e. safety glasses with side shields and steel toe footwear) is required. Noise level is usually moderate to high. May intermittently sit at a desk to answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email.
