Describe Position:
The Safety Representative is responsible for monitoring, managing, and ensuring the safety of our team while mitigating hazards on LGL projects.

• Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA requirements.
• Communicate safety requirements and set example.
• Oversee and ensure safe daily operations in the field.
• Coach and train workers on safety policies and procedures.
• Prepare and present daily toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings.
• Prepare job hazard analyses as required.
• Review all field level risk assessments.
• Conduct daily documented site inspections and audits.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks.
• Monitor compliance and enforce safety policies.
• Write and update safe job procedures and safe work practices.
• Provide immediate on‑scene assistance and incident management.
• Administer first aid as needed.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Maintain daily log of duties and safety records.
• Ensure all administrative aspects of site safety are addressed.
• Maintain stock of personal protective equipment.
• Assume responsibility and communicate effectively with others.
• Hold others accountable and coach effectively.
• Deal with confidential situations.
• Additional safety‑related duties as required.
• Must be willing to work rotations in and out of remote project settings.
• Travel to project sites and be available after hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 3+ years of construction health and safety experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and construction regulations.
• Valid OSHA 30 and OSHA 500 preferred.
• Ability to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong investigative skills, including root cause analysis.
• Current first aid CPR + AED with naloxone injection training.
• Current working at heights training.
• Certification(s) in Construction Safety and Training (e.g., OSHA 500, OSHA 30, HAZWOPPER 40, Confined Space).

• Competitive salary: $30/hr to $40/hr, commensurate with experience.
• Paid overtime.
