- Support project planning by reviewing project scope, construction execution plans, schedules, permits, and constructability prior to construction activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors on site, coordinating daily construction activities and resolving field issues to keep projects on schedule.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, project specifications, and company policies.
- Conduct regular field observations and walkdowns to verify work is being completed safely and according to project requirements.
- Coordinate contractor site access, temporary facilities, material deliveries, equipment staging, and project logistics.
- Verify contractor qualifications, safety training, certifications, and required permits before work begins.
- Support daily pre-job meetings, safety briefings, outage coordination, and construction progress meetings.
- Ensure compliance with safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, hot work, environmental requirements, and site security procedures.
- Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), monitor work areas for hazards, and help resolve safety or construction issues as they arise.
- Coordinate material receiving, storage, and documentation while communicating project risks, schedule impacts, and field changes to the Project Lead.
- Maintain detailed daily construction reports, including manpower, work progress, safety observations, schedule updates, quality concerns, and project milestones.
- Assist with punch list completion, equipment turnover, redline drawings, commissioning activities, and project closeout documentation.
- Support startup, commissioning, lessons learned, and post-project reviews.
