The Dental Assistant role at Aspen Dental in Lakeland, FL is a full-time, on-site position supporting dentists in delivering high-quality patient care. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, assisting with dental procedures, managing patient flow, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit. The Dental Assistant will help with chairside assisting, taking and processing x-rays as allowed by state regulations, and maintaining accurate patient records.

The role also includes sterilizing instruments, organizing dental supplies, and following infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment. Collaboration with the dental team, effective communication, and a focus on patient-centered care are essential in this position.

• Strong foundational skills in Dental Assisting, including chairside support and patient preparation.
• Knowledge of Dental Care and Oral Care practices to support preventive and restorative treatments.
• Understanding of Dentistry procedures and terminology to assist providers effectively.
• Proficiency in Sterilization and infection control techniques to maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
• Relevant education or certification as a Dental Assistant; radiography certification as required by state law is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient comfort and clear explanations of procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting, follow detailed instructions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with dental practice management or electronic health record systems is beneficial.
