About the Role

The Staff Geotechnical Engineer will support project managers and senior engineers across a variety of geotechnical, construction, and geo-environmental projects. This position blends technical fieldwork with analytical problem-solving and reporting. You’ll gain experience with drilling operations, construction materials testing, AutoCAD drafting, and geotechnical evaluations—while developing foundational skills that set the stage for long-term growth.

• Perform field and laboratory testing of soil, rock, and water samples.
• Monitor and coordinate geotechnical drilling activities, including utility clearances, site access, and traffic control.
• Prepare detailed boring logs, field reports, and documentation.
• Assist with AutoCAD drafting, lab analysis, and geotechnical design support.
• Contribute to technical reports including foundation recommendations, bearing capacity analysis, settlement modeling, and retaining wall evaluations.
• Support proposal writing and marketing initiatives.
• Work on a wide range of civil infrastructure projects—every day is different.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required. (Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.)
• EI/EIT certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Self-starter with attention to detail, organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset.
• No prior experience required—just a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods and perform physical tasks (e.g., kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Must be willing to travel for fieldwork and stay overnight when required.
• Clean driving record preferred (company vehicle use may be required).
