Structural Engineer

Metromont Corporation is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Engineering & Architecture team, specializing in precast concrete construction. The successful candidate will leverage advanced engineering skills to design, evaluate, and oversee the production and installation of durable precast concrete structures. This role is essential in maintaining our commitment to innovative and enduring construction solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design structural components for complex precast concrete buildings and structures, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and performance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, contractors, and project managers to deliver projects that meet technical specifications and client expectations.
• Perform structural analysis and create detailed models, ensuring structures are safe, sustainable, and cost-effective.
• Consult on improvements in design methodology and precast production processes.
• Participate in the review of shop drawings and provide technical advice to production and construction teams.
• Conduct site visits to ensure projects are executed as per the engineering plans and to adapt to any on-site challenges.
• Prepare and present reports detailing investigations and design recommendations.
• Stay updated on industry standards and technological advancements in precast concrete and general structural engineering.

Required Skills

• Proficient in structural analysis software (such as SAP
  2000, ETABS, or REVIT).
• Strong understanding of construction methods and precast concrete technology.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with multiple disciplines.
