Role OverviewAs a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I, you will perform essential diagnostic testing and quality control procedures supporting accurate and timely patient results. This role includes moderate‑to-high‑complexity testing, maintaining laboratory systems and equipment, prepping reagents, and contributing to a smooth, efficient laboratory workflow.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic testing and quality control procedures
- Prepare reagents and accurately report laboratory results
- Review and oversee moderate‑to-high‑complexity testing
- Monitor and maintain laboratory computer applications
- Maintain equipment, instruments, and supply inventory
- Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Work collaboratively within the laboratory and across clinical teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education – Required
- Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or related scientific field
Education – Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field
Certification & Licensure – Required
- State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
Experience – Required
- Clinical laboratory experience
- Minimum of four (4) months of experience performing laboratory testing
